Welcome to the ongoing mission of the TV media experiment; its goal of delivering fine television-themed entertainment in one convenient place continues. Still having fun? Are you there? There is no end in sight, the media does not know when to say when, it is relentless with its constant presence. The only way to satisfy it is to keep plowing ahead.
This is the third member of the media column family, joining movies and music. Each week I hope to bring a number of clips for you to view, perhaps some news, full episodes, and TV-on-DVD info. So, stick around, watch some TV, and have a good time!
Late Night with Conan O'Brien - Blackwolf Meets Lordi
This is mildly entertaining, although it does run a bit long. This segment is hosted by Triumph the Insult Comic Dog and it reunites him with one of his "poopies," a 4,000-year-old wizard named Blackwolf. As it turns out, he is a big fan of the Finnish band Lordi, who is on the show this particular evening. So Triumph brings the costumed act together with the wizard, weirdness ensues.
Chuck - "Chuck vs the Gravitron"
Here is a show that I hope will be on for a few more years. This episode picks up with Chuck thinking he has a shot at a normal life with the return of old flame Jill (Jordana Brewster). Of course it is revealed that she is a Fulcrum agent and this puts Chuck in quite the bind, leading to the fantastic scene alluded to by the episode name. I am really enjoying the the relationship between Chuck and Sarah; it is being developed wonderfully. Watch the episode below:
24 - "Redemption"
Did you miss this when it aired 11/23? Did you like it enough to watch it again, but forgot to record it? Here is your chance to do something about it. The entire television movie (still presented in real time) is online, in its entirety. I suspect this has a lot of footage from the aborted seventh season (victim of the writers' strike) and was reworked into a new season seven introduction. It is not quite as good as I had hoped it would be, but it was still great to see Jack back in action, if only temporarily. The new season starts in January.
