It's not. The other driver in the other car dies. Will is charged with murder. Craig and his father convince Will to still say he did it because Craig will get more time in jail than Will. Will does and they figure he will only get a few months probation. It's obviously not the case. The judge doesn't like that Will has a .002 alcohol level, which is only one beer, and sentences him 12 months to jail. It's one of those things that happens only on TV.
The rest of the episode didn't have much substance. Sam contemplated whether or not to keep the baby. She decided to keep the baby and realized that Will is the father. Carla was upset over everyone leaving, but a heart to heart with father made her change her life goals. Jenna and Aaron got closer. That makes Carla upset, she has a little crush on him.
The pilot wasn't that great. Most of things in the episode had me saying, "This would only happen on a TV show." I don't need my shows to be 100% realistic, but they don't be over the top and unconvincing. The characters need to be developed more and need some substance and back story. The show needs some work.
The actors on the show are very hit-or-miss. Chyler Leigh was the standout. She played Carla with some realism and sympathy. Sean Faris was just average. He should look back to Life As We Know It so he can bring out those acting skills again. Will Estes seems like he is playing JJ from American Dreams in a different show and modernized. Amanda Righetti seems way too old to play a high school student. The other two cast members, Annable and Davalos, are completely forgettable.
I'll give this show one more chance. I doubt I'll watch anymore after that.
"Pilot - 1986" - D+

Entourage: "The Abyss": I didn't like the finale. The show could have ended the week before. The overall season was very good and improvement over the first. C
The Comeback: "Valerie Does Another Classic Leno": A very underrated show. Lisa Kudrow is a revelation on this show. The finale was executed perfectly. I hope, hope, hope this is renewed for a second season. A
Big Brother: "Howie Evicted/Janelle HoH/Ivette & Maggie Nommed": I am bummed out Howie was evicted. Janelle did win HoH and hopefully she will win America's Choice. I really hate that one of the friendSHIT might be evicted. I'm glad that Ivette & Maggie were nominated, but from what I've read, one of them won PoV.
Weeds: "Lude Awakening": Not too thrilled with the episode, but still an entertaining show. Mary Louise Parker & Elizabeth Perkins are both great. B
Rescue Me: "Happy": A really emotional episode and hard to watch. Those final five minutes were hard to watch. If you didn't cry in those final moments, then you're not human. A+
Reno 911!: "Episode 37": I'm glad Comedy Central ran a marathon on Monday. I've watched this one and it was a funny one. My favorite moment was Trudy & Dangle recreating the crime over and over again. B+

It's hard to believe it's 9/11 again. I didn't really think of it until my buddy mentioned it tonight and Maltese Falcon's title reminded me as well.
And Fox is already premiering their Sunday lineup tonight.
That is all.

Thanks for the synopsis(es) of Reunion and others. Reunion looks interesting, but I hate missing the first episodes of new shows, then try to catch up later on. I am Tivo deprived. (or depraved? lol)
I can't belive Entourage is over already. I guess you're right in a way about the episode, I didn't think that E would really go forever. I knew he and Vince would make up. I also knew that once Vince met with James Cameron, he'd stay on the film.
I wonder about Ari though. He's so slimy, yet I love him. I'm like all worried that he won't get another good job and support his fairly bitchy wife and cute daughter.
Any idea when Arrested Development starts again?

Thanks for your comments Mary.
I have a love/hate relationship with Ari. Some weeks I loved him. Other weeks I just wanna choke him. That's because of Jeremy Piven's excellent performance. He deserves the Emmy next year. The Emmy this year belongs to Peter Boyle.
And Arrested Development premieres September 19. I can't wait. One of the best shows to ever be on TV.
