Welcome to the second column of "TV Addict Confessions" where the last week in TV is discussed. This week I will be talking about the premiere of the new FOX drama, Reunion. Also thoughts about the Entourage and The Comeback season finales, and some other shows I watched this week.
Reunion: "Pilot"
FOX is trying to find another hit with it's serialized format. Reunion is almost the anti-24 show. An entire season of 24 takes place in one day. One episode of Reunion will cover a year. It worked with 24, and now Prison Break. Will FOX be able to do it again?
The pilot starts at a funeral. A man is giving a eulogy and talking about six friends in high school. They were all close friends and he couldn't believe one of them could kill another. One of the six friends he was talking about was killed by one of the other five. Who could it be? We don't know yet. Who are these six friends? A flashback to 1986 shows the six friends graduating from high school.
Craig (Sean Faris) is a spoiled rich kid that thinks he can get away with anything. Craig and his girlfriend Sam (Alexa Davalos) are considered the perfect couple. Sam is hiding a secret, she's pregnant and doesn't know who the father could be. It could be Will (Will Estes). Will has been Craig's best friend ever since grade school. Will is considered a stand up guy and wouldn't harm a soul. Aaron (Dave Annable) is another friend and seen as a dork. His has a big attraction to Jenna (Amanda Righetti), who is way out of his league. Jenna is the guy that all the girls want. Aaron has a crush on her, but Jenna thinks they will always be friends. The most interesting character is Carla (Chyler Leigh). Carla doesn't have a type. She tends to be an outcast, but she's found her place with this group of friends. She doesn't want them to be split up by college hopes and dreams.
The first big storyline revolves around a car accident with Craig & Will. Craig is driving with Will and Craig tries to beat a yellow light. He is unsuccessful and they get hit in the side by another car. They both go to the hospital and Craig is ok and Will seems to be doing good also. They are unsure about the driver in the another car. Craig convinces Will to take the blame, because Craig was a little drunk while driving. Will takes the blame and it all seems to be done at that.

It's hard to believe it's 9/11 again. I didn't really think of it until my buddy mentioned it tonight and Maltese Falcon's title reminded me as well.
And Fox is already premiering their Sunday lineup tonight.
That is all.

Thanks for the synopsis(es) of Reunion and others. Reunion looks interesting, but I hate missing the first episodes of new shows, then try to catch up later on. I am Tivo deprived. (or depraved? lol)
I can't belive Entourage is over already. I guess you're right in a way about the episode, I didn't think that E would really go forever. I knew he and Vince would make up. I also knew that once Vince met with James Cameron, he'd stay on the film.
I wonder about Ari though. He's so slimy, yet I love him. I'm like all worried that he won't get another good job and support his fairly bitchy wife and cute daughter.
Any idea when Arrested Development starts again?

Thanks for your comments Mary.
I have a love/hate relationship with Ari. Some weeks I loved him. Other weeks I just wanna choke him. That's because of Jeremy Piven's excellent performance. He deserves the Emmy next year. The Emmy this year belongs to Peter Boyle.
And Arrested Development premieres September 19. I can't wait. One of the best shows to ever be on TV.
