Tom Cruise Mulls Over A Possible Spike Lee Joint: Will He Get His 40 Acres And A Mule?

Rumor has it that Tom Cruise has vowed never again to bother with low-profile projects such as Magnolia and Eyes Wide Shut. Now, after the failure of the third Mission Impossible film and the axing of his contract with Paramount Pictures, Cruise is looking to do something he hasn't done in a while — act.

Of the three projects he is considering, one of them would be helmed by Inside Man director Spike Lee. The movie, entitled Selling Time, would focus on a man who barters off time from his life in order to change the outcome of a rather bad day.

The other two projects he's considering include The Ha-Ha, in which he would play a Gulf War vet rendered mute from his injuries and forced to take care of an AWOL mother's nine-year-old son. And, in Lions for Lambs, set around a platoon of U.S. troops in Afghanistan, Cruise — if signed — will play a Congressman while Meryl Streep portrays a journalist.

When paired with more low-key directors such as Cameron Crowe, Cruise (at least with the critics) seems to be able to hone rather than phone in his performances as he proved with Cameron Crowe's Jerry Maguire. Let us hope Tom barters a little of his time to Lee's production company, 40 Acres And A Mule Filmworks.

Second, MI:III is not a failure, it's one of the best success of the year, better than Batman and Superman some says and the biggest of Paramount.

Third, He was awesome in War of the world, MI:III and Collateral, if you don't know anything abouyt acting, stop trying to write ****
