It’s not just the actors, but the characters are appealing too. I love Ben the most — he’s just this cute, socially awkward boy who has no idea what he’s doing and that’s incredibly sweet. I would marry him, well, except for the fact he isn’t real. A conspiracy, I swear. Ricky’s the character you love to hate. He’s a total jerk for playing girls, but there’s something very vulnerable about him that I think we see next episode when he realizes the baby is his. Even Adrian is getting on my good side. I hated her at first, but she’s become very real to me. Very great.
Is the content involving teenaged sex bad for younger viewers? Not at all. Francia Raisa said about the show’s impact at the Teen Choice Awards, “I’ve received many emails. People saying that it really makes me think twice about having sex. It really hits home with viewers who were pregnant at 15 or had an abortion at 15.” Come on, even the message is good.
The Secret Life of the American Teenager is the next great show and I think everyone of all ages should watch Amy’s struggle. It’s captured my heart and definitely deserves the Teen Choice Award it received.

i luv the show... i think its great that they show the consequences of teen sex... and its very important to be cautious... and i think thats where amy and ricky got lost into the clouds at... and then amy acts as if nothing happen... saying i didnt even know it happen. if u dnt know when a penis is entering ur vagina then sumthing must be wrong with you. and ben is all clingy... trying 2 marry her... then his father has the nerve 2 support it... amy and bens chemistry is sooo off... so thats makes everybody like wth are they thinking. henry and ashley makes an cute couple but ashleys too young... shes just 13... but for some reason henry look so cute 2 me now...lmao... i dont know why... amys dad is an major loser... him and adrians father are total loser aka ass wipes... cheating and acting as if ur daughter doesnt exist... if ne thing u should be trying to think of a way to make things better... but ur being an dick head about it... hurting the dog shit out of adrians feelings... her mother is falling the hell apart... nobody ever listens to ashley everything is always confirmer by amy pregnant ass... they act like shes perfect and they even tell her that she is... instead of discipling her... thats makes the situation even worst... ugh... i luv the show but it sometimes give me a major headache...

Lol....after reading the immense criticism regarding this show I had to laugh when I read this blog. This show has one of the worst dialogues and the acting is even worse if that is possible. It is completely unnatural both in terms of the language as well as the presentation and lack of emotions especially from the girl who play's the lead's sister ( I can't remember her name because she is so forgettable. I only watched two episodes; once because I heard so many bad things about it I decided to see for myself and the second time because I thought maybe I was being too critical but no I was right the first time. I think it's great that there is a fan base for a show like this because it is important to show what happens when young people try to grow up too fast but it is just too unnatural to actually make a good impact.
