I think Enterprise failed because for one thing the writing was HORRIBLE. When you look back at the first origional Star Trek the stories are amazing and are much much better even though the special effects are not as good as today.

The second reason is because of the coldness and monotone look of the set, it looks like a depressing factory. The other Star Treks had colorful happy cheerfull sets that looked good.

Music, this opened with a really bad song, turned me off instantly.

    Slow moving stories.

They used cheap sexual scenes when they found out the ratings were bad which made it even worse.

The sad thing is, this will ruin the Star Trek reputation, for the Star Trek community this is painful because it sets back the ongoing development of Star Trek and turns away new viewers.

It's probably a little late but I really hated the final episode where the writers got rid of Trip. Stupid ending.
