The Gathering - Christina Ricci

I think someone suggested The Gathering on my website a while back. Not sure anymore. It took some time until I finally got it, and I think it was worth it. The idea of the story was innovative once. I can't remember I've ever seen that kind of story before. Though it's a bit of The Others style. The special effects when there were some were not all that impressive, but I liked the acting of Christina Ricci very much.

SYNOPSIS from Hollywood.com

An American backpacker travelling through an English village accepts help from a family after becoming involved in a car accident. Things turn spooky though when the girl begins to hallucinate and believes strangers are following her. Has she been cursed with second sight or is this simply a result of the concussion she received during the car accident? Could this have anything to do with the first century church that has just been unearthed in the nearby countryside?

I like Christina Ricci too, though not for her acting... Ahhh, Wednesday Addams, how much do I adore thee?

Haha, so what do you like her for? ;)
I've always liked her for movies like Mermaids and Casper.
She's definitely a very charismatic actress.

Is The Gathering only in release overseas? I can't find it on US release schedules, either theater or DVD.
