They've done it for other reality shows and its coming has been rumored for some time. Now it seems to be inevitable. According to the TVgasm website, the filming of The Amazing Race 11 is to start next month. And, not only that, we're in store for watching a season of teams who have previously raced. Big Brother did the same, as did Survivor even earlier. Apparently the "all star" format is successful, but it's not always this fan's favorite.
So far, two teams from TAR5 are listed as participants in the new season. I fear neither team was too popular in their season, at least not according to the Internet buzz at the time.
Bickering and sometimes "Ugly Americans on Exhibit" Colin Guinn and Christie Woods are one of the teams revealed. Colin, of course, is most remembered for his infamous line, "My ox is broken!" That happened when an ox just didn't want to steer the way he wanted it to go. The couple argued their way to near the finish line only to be beat out by the Force for Good, Kim and Chip. Their motivation for undertaking the race at the time, other than the million dollars, was to test their relationship and possibly marry. Whether they're married or not these days is uncertain. But, it's sure they'll fuss and fight through the All Stars season.
The other team linked to the All Stars version is made up of cousins Charla Faddoul and Mirna Hindoyan. This is a team many fans so wanted to cheer on, but they made it hard for the fans to do so. Mirna fretted, made her cousin handle all the tougher tasks, and obsessed about looking pretty for Phil Keoghan at the finish mat each leg. She also did her best to perpetuate stereotypes of little people with the way she treated Charla. At least, that's this show fan's perception. On the other hand, there's Charla, a little person. She can do a lot, but needs a better partner. Fans called them out for using the "Dwarf Card" to get ahead. Charla and Mirna were most recently seen on last year's Battle of the Reality Stars (BRAVO). Their relationship didn't seem to change much over time.
Amazing Race All Stars or Amazing Race Villains? It could be worse. We could be in for another season of watching Jonathan and Victoria Baker. It would be better if these shows polled the viewers about what teams they'd like to see return if they feel they have to have all "all star" season. Better yet, I'd rather not see an "all star" season at all.

you have to be joking.. they were the reason why TAR5 was the best amazing race season ever.. awesomely entertaining scenes..who can forget charla carrying that meat or colins ox breakdown.. they are also super competitive..perfect choice

I became obsessed with the amazing race over the last year or so, and can't wait for the all-star edition. Season Five was great, but I have to admit that last season (nine, I believe) was the best, fueled on the hippie-powered goof and good spirits of BJ and Tyler.

So right I would love to see Rob and Amber again, we laughed weekly at the stunts of Rob. He was extremely entertaining and with the two teams already in this article omg what a show to come.

Anyone seen the clip of Chip and Kim on their myspace video chatting away about Seasons 11 All Stars. I have and they happened to spill the beans on 4 teams competing
Colin and Christie and Charla and Mirna were mentiond by chip, while Kim Said Rob & amber were also compething. Kim also happened to mention that Jonathon was competing but without Victoria (Her and Jonathon had a baby 6 weeks ago)So Who will be Jonathon's Partner? The Rumor at the moment is that he will be competing with Flo

And BJ & Tyler have mentioned on a return of the racers blog that themselves and Chip and Kim will not be in the All Stars Version as they have not been asked to compete. Yet they let posted that Lyn & Alex and Brian & Gregg From Season 7 have been aproached about All Stars

MIRNA and CHIRNA??? Are you kidding me!! GAGGGG! Same with Colin and Christy, I can't believe she's dumb enough to still be with him #1 and #2 dumb enough to run the race with him again. I agree, viewers should have had the choice to vote for whom they would like to see race.

1) no previous winners
2) Kris and Jon!!!! from Season 6, my favorite team!! (tied with my other fav team Uchenna and Joyce but they won already)
3) no Rob and Amber - celebrity status gave them an unfair advantage, already have too much $, got a free wedding, give someone else a chance
4) perhaps 2nd place winners - (no Rob/Amber and no Kelly/Jon and Colin/Christie) the only 2nd place teams that I liked were Kris and Jon from Season 6 , Frank & Margarita from Season 1
5) My favorite teams - Season 1- Frank & Margarita Season 2- Oswald and Danny (team cha cha), Season 3 - John Vito and Jill, Season 4 - Jon/Al (clowns) , Season 5 - did not like anyone, was glad Chip and Kim won, would pick Charla and Mirna, hated Colin and Christie, Season 6 -Kris/Jon (great karma couple) and Lori/Bolo (wrestlers), Season 7- my team won Season 8 - Family Edition, Season 9- no one I want to see again, I am glad BJ & Tyler won, Season 10 - definitely the Cho brothers, and hopefully no more alliance for them..., no need for Team Kentucky - Rosie took care of them...
if Kris and Jon are definitely chosen, then I will watch it.. I do not want too many of the negative, evil, argumentative folks back... it was not fun to watch..

From what ive heard, Dustin and Kandice from Season 10 are on it. My dad's friend apparently met Dustin's uncle and he said she and Kandice were officially on it. Mary and David are on it too. Officially.

Definitely would love to see Kris and Jon compete again. They were the most fun team to watch of all that have competed, They had a relationship with a special chemistry, and it showed. I have been waiting for TAM to have an all-star edition. Without this team, there's nothing "all-star" about it. On the other hand, seasons 8 & 9 were the weakest, villians won both editions, the goofy hippies won by just pure luck and the Linz family gave Jonathan a run for his money as far as being the most obnoxious to ever compete. I never want to see any members of those teams again. Bring on the All-Stars.

Worst choices possible, but i think it could be that teams that should have been on there were busy at the time of filming i was so happy when they announced all-stars but really disappointed when they announced the suck ass teams they picked

So glad to see all of our old favoites and sometimes villains back in the game. I see they have also added a mixed team of Eric and Danielle can't wait to see how they do against the other teams. I think they will have a clear disadvantage since thet never raced together before this should make for a really interesting competiton.
