Wow, it's been a long time since I've done one of these preview and fan news articles, but given the epic nature of Thursday night's Supernatural episode, it's time. The episode is titled "The End" and given the fact it's written by the always creative Ben Edlund, we're in for something extraordinary. I have three exciting clips to share. Below is the description from Warner Brothers and The CW:
Still estranged from Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles) is visited by Zachariah (guest star Kurt Fuller) who continues to pressure him to fulfill his destiny and become a vessel for the archangel Michael so that he can defeat Lucifer. When Dean resists, he is thrust five years into the future to see the consequences of his decision - and a ravaged, desolate post-apocalyptic world. Also stars Misha Collins as Castiel and also guest stars Rob Benedict as Chuck Shurley. "The End" was written by Ben Edlund and directed by Steve Boyum.

Some Great News
You know, considering how there's always a lot of negativity going around (it's infectious!), I'm going to share two pieces of good news. The first is the ratings. What, you ask? The ratings have been terrible. Yes, they have been disappointing, but as I have been saying on my website, the DVR numbers hadn't come back yet so we didn't know the true story. Since DVR added an average of about 540,000 viewers to each episode last season, a theory floating out there was that maybe DVR will come back big.
Well, EW just got a look at those DVR numbers for premiere week, and they're very good. Four million viewers, or a 38% increase. I'm curious to see how much the following weeks follow suit, but so far four million with live + DVR7 last season was considered big numbers. So, you see, people are watching. They just aren't watching live. With Thursdays being so crowded, I can see why.

I have to work thursday nights so unable to watch it live. I'm one of those numbers on the DVR and I hope they're looking at them because I know I'm not alone. Have to have Supernatural!
