Happy Dance! Happy Dance! I don’t get it, but this five week hiatus seemed worse than the 18 weeks we had to endure in the summer. I’m sure it’s the time of the year, but hasn’t it seemed brutally long?To whet your appetites, I come with clips for “Death Takes A Holiday,” small teasers to help us get through until the episode airs Thursday at 9pm. For those that have no idea what the episode is about, here’s the official synopsis from The CW:When no one seems to be dying in a small town, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) think that something sinister may be the cause and enlist the help of now-blind psychic Pamela Barnes (guest star Traci Dinwiddie) to pierce the veil between the living and the dead. Also guest starring Christopher Heyendahl as ‘Alistair’ and Lindsey McKeon, reprising her role as Tessa (The Reaper from the Season 2 premiere episode "In My Time of Dying"). “Death Takes a Holiday” was written by Jeremy Carver and was directed by Steve Boyum.
I’ve done three cons in the last four months, two of them Supernatural (the other the New York Comic Con) and the three couldn’t have been more different. Hanging onto fond memories from the other two, I drove to Cherry Hill this past weekend with low expectations for two reasons. First, Jared Padalecki had cancelled, so how was this con going to work with a lineup of just supporting players? Second, even though I had a blast at Creation’s Con in Chicago in November, I came back with the huge impression that Creation Entertainment was more about holding an event centered on getting my money than offering an enriching fan experience. The Creation event in Cherry Hill changed that perception.

Sounds like you had a great time.
The professors who are writing the book: have they never seen any other fandoms? Stargate, for one. Supernatural isn't any different than its predecessors even down to the character one VS character two wars! Just as much screaming at cons, just as big when they were starting out. Supernatural fandom is just the latest in a long line of fannish shows.
The Creation breakfasts are usually the way you saw them in NJ with the guests going from table to table. It's only with Jared and Jensen that they stay on stage rather than mingle; it's a contractual thing with them as they have some exceptionally manic fans.
