It's Halloween and surprisingly a horror themed show in which every episode feels like Halloween is doing a special Halloween themed episode. Sure, the pilot takes place on Halloween as Sam and his now late girlfriend Jessica go to a party, but that didn’t count. All we learned was that Sam doesn't like Halloween.
Courtesy of Warner Brothers, I have three clips to share this week for Thursday's episode, "It's The Great Pumpkin, Sam Winchester."
Clip #1 - Sam and Dean on the Case
Clip #2 - Trick or Treat
Clip #3 - Castiel and Uriel
If that third one didn't grasp your interest, nothing will.
Fan News
The fandom has been a little quiet recently, until this last week. The New York Post reported that there were 1,110 blog postings about “Yellow Fever” based on a Google list. No doubt that it had something to do with the whole “Dean is a dick” controversy and Eric Kripke’s response to it, but hey, it got the fans talking. Something good came out of it.
There are all sorts of positive reviews out there these days. I’ve read recent ones from higher profile media outlets like the New York Post , the Chicago Tribune, and JackMyers.com. There is also a nice, two page feature in the print edition of TV Guide this week. Considering Supernatural gets decent coverage on the online site but hardly ever in the print magazine, I highly suggest snagging this one. It’s a well written and flattering article too, although beware, it contains spoilers for Thursday’s episode. Even Matt Roush in TV Guide had some nice things to say in his most recent column, which is a rarity coming from him.
I also get links for to vote for polls involving Supernatural almost daily and it ends up winning most of the time. The fans are more motivated than ever. The most notable one recently is Supernatural has made the ballot for the People’s Choice Awards. Register and vote if you want such an accolade, but remember, this is the forum that used to award Burt Reynolds every year.
Support Supernatural has a recent interview with Jason Manns. His music has been featured on the show a few times (including the iPod scene mentioned below), and he’s a fixture at the Supernatural fan conventions. I’ll get to see him in concert in a few weeks at Creation Entertainment’s “Salute to Supernatural” outside of Chicago, so hopefully I’ll see why he’s such a favorite among fans. He sounds pretty cool in this interview.

I am surprised that during the episode for Yellow Fever, no one caught the comment Dean made about the truck stop waitress with the weird rash. I was like dang, that's the waitress from Tampa. The one Dean mentions in Croaton.

Great point! There were so many little things in "Yellow Fever", that one got pushed to the side. I forgot about the comment in Croatoan.
