Spielberg to Make Munich Olympics Film

Director Stephen Spielberg is set to direct a film version of the 1972 Munich Olympic Games, where 11 Israeli athletes were killed by Palestinian terrorists. This has the makings of a controversy. With current Israeli-Palestinian relations so fragile, and emotions already so raw, this film could inflame animosity on both sides. Nevertheless, I hope Stephen Spielberg is committed to the authenticity of the event, and not make a whitewash of it for the sake of political correctness.
