One could easily take what I know about dancing and place it firmly up the behind of a flea. It would then still rattle around like a Bee bee in a box car.
For instance, the dances featured on Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance?" are foreign to me.
In the episode aired on Wednesday 9/14/05, dances such as "lyrical", "fox trot", "disco" and some really weird Spanish thing called the "Pase Doble" were featured.
I do know pretty syncopation, fluidity of movement and just plain pleasant watching when I see it. Indeed myself often dances handily with the dogs of the household and has, I say proudly, taught such canines to also dance. I've got a dachshund that can do a spectacular Cha Cha. Although his fat sausage body looks nothing like the Cha-cha done by Artem and Ashle in this past episode.
Let's take a look at the final eight contestants in this contest that Fox would love to be the next "American Idol".
The ages of the final eight range from 20 to 27. Mine own birth city of Baltimore is represented by finalist Jamile.
Three contestants hail from California. The rest are closer to the east coast. One finalist hails from Russia.
Up for elimination per the judges in this past week's episode are Jamile, Artem, Melissa and Ashle.
I loved Blake and Melody's disco dance. The judges, too, liked this couple's performance of both the disco and lyrical dances. They were both called "hot and sexy" by one judge. If I were a betting woman I'd go with this couple with what little I know now.
Kamilah and Nick did a mambo deemed by the judges as "not even close". Their contemporary dance featured intriguing black and white costumes and had a very cool ending that, hey, I liked. Per the judges, their contemporary rendition was perfect.

I think Melody seems shallow and too perky. Not sexy and grown-up enough during the disco dance.

Ashle's body is awesome but she's not so pretty in the face. That shouldn't really matter because she's an awesome dancer.
I love this show but this is the first week that I wasn't thrilled with any of the choreography.

Well, these contestants are the final eight. Thus, the judges have to be very picky about everything.
I think that Melissa should go home. Both Ashley and Melissa did well during their presentations, but Melissa did not impress me at all with her solo number. She was just running and jumping all over the place. Melissa should have tried harder to impress the audience, but her number was not impressive. Ashley’s African dance was pretty good. I hope that Ashley stays ;)
Now, if the name of this competition were -So You Think You Can Dance Hip-Hop- , Jamile would be the winner, no doubt.
However, Jamile does not look very good dancing anything else that it is not hip-hop. He tries hard and I admire his effort, but being a good hip-hop dancer it is not enough to win this competition. Thus, my vote was for -smooth feet- Artem
I truly hope to see Ashley and Artem in the next round.

BLAME ON THE INSTRUCTORS!!!!
Also this time i was really pissed off that Blake dances the Lyrical, again and again. It's probably the 8th time that he chose the lyrical, quite unfair and annoying. Why not give him a foxtrot or paso doble to see how he sucks. Blake has to leave. I think that nothing is randomly chosen.
I could see that this time Artem didn't like what he was doing. Why ? The choreographer of the ChaCha really sucks, they would better let Artem create the chacha himself, the international style chacha looks much better than the American clubstyle.
The mambo has 2 many tricks (blame on Alex de Silva) although they danced technically very well.
All the dancers were ok this time but most of the instructors suck !

So, Artem went home. That was very disappointing. America chose Jamile, a guy who can only dance hip-hop and nothing else.
I am tired of seen him week after week dancing hip-hop as his only tool to stay in the show.
These were the true best male dancers of the show:
Blake, Artem (eliminated), and Nick
And the best female dancers were:
Snow (eliminated), Ashley, and Melody
A final without Artem and Snow is going to be like a cake without good frosting… It is just sad.

Unfortunately your command of english is comparable to you knowledge of dance. Take a tip from some of the better contestants on the show and learn your craft before you display it for the world to judge. That said, Blake and Nick clearly are the best male dancers while Melody has a slight edge over Melissa and Ashley. Sorry all but Kamilah and Jamile are out of their league. Both good, but out of their league.

I was very upset last night to see that the American people would keep a guy like Jamile and vote off Blake and Artem two great dancers and leave Jamile a guy who moves like a robbot in heat, can't dance to save his soul from the devil, can only move to hip hop, what kind of GREAT dancer that makes? In my opinion the best dancers were: Blake, Nick and the best of all was Artem, and from the girls are:
Ashley, Melody and Melissa
If Jamile wins I will know that it was fixed.

Nick is a great dancer.
Blake is great too. (All the top 4 were great-Jamile maybe not so well rounded but good in his own right.)
However Blake is quoted as saying he does not regret anything he said about Judge Dan Karaty and still believes what he said was true, but only that the truth came back to bite him.
He also went on, in this article, to insult the vast American public who voted him off, claiming that since America voted for Bush, that Americans, in general, must be stupid. Remember-he is Candian.
I mean, how imature and infantile can he be? Can't someone who voted for Kerry not have voted for him? Can't someone who voted for Bush, have voted for him? The answer to both is YES.
He is cocky, self serving, arrogant curmedgeonly and just because he immigrated to America because he can't get any dance work in useless, freezing Canada means he can come down and insult anyone in a insult-fest just becuase "he didn't win".
He should go back to Canada if he thinks Americans are so stupid. How absolutely insulting.
He really needs to get his head checked. Because according to him, anyone who didn't vote for him is an idiot. Then to add injury to insult, he has to bring in politics-which has ZERO Place on SYTUCD? show.
One of the few areas on TV where you can forget about what's going on in the world for an hour or 90 minutes and he has to have perpetual diarrhea of the mouth.
Stuff your jazzshoe in it, Blake. Your attitude makes you a very ugly person and someone I would not want representing the dance community. Your attitude is poison to everyone.

I would love someone forever if they could tell me what was the piece of music Jamile danced to in the final eight show, in the 45 second skit at the very end where he was waering that black shirt (we get re runs here in the UK, we dont see it when its current!). Anyone able to help here?
