Who knows. They've so completely screwed around with the Superman myth up to this point, perhaps Lex will find redemption in Smallville's reconstructing of the legend.
I know I'll be watching to find out.

I for one hope they make the ending one where they stay friends , you find Lex a sudo hero fighting the good fight to keep ahead in the indistry of keeping people employed and where nomater what you do it tends you look like the bad guy . I agree Lex and Clarks friendship is what makes the show . If you now of dragon ball Z the best running cartoon out and highest downloaded show ever its the thing with Vaggitta and Goku that made the show work . But back to the subject when I see that Lex is going to the dark side thats when I will no longer follow the show and I can imagine the show with a brighter better ending then what people think will take place . Untill then here is to hope they surprise us .
