I'd never really wanted to watch it, I thought it'd suck, but yesterday I found it by chance and just thought, oh well, maybe I should just watch it once, because there are not many movies currently that can really impress me. As a child I always liked the story of Sindbad, watched the cartoon all the time with the little Sindbad and the female bird on all of their trips, and I had a book I read several times with lots of pretty pictures. So in a way I like the story, of course. And I liked this movie much, too. It's rather short, but very nicely, romantically and adventurously told. Even the slimy dog had charm.
