MUSGO'S TOP 100 FEATURE OF THE WEEK

No. 72 - The Blues Brothers (MAX) (TUE)

Is this the first musical to make the list? I guess, not technically a musical but music is the backbone to this comedy. Music is the engine, Belushi is the fuel and Aykroyd just tries to keep the whole thing on the road. As many great one-liners here as any good Mel Brooks film. Probably too long but I find it hard to nit-pick this piece. As good as "Four fried chickens and a Coke."

Ratings around this movie . . .

68 - Close Encounters Of The Third Kind
70 - Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid
73 - Glengarry Glen Ross
75 - Blazing Saddles
76 - Dial M For Murder

SUNDAY

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (FOX) The more I read about this show, the more excited I am to see it. With all the shows in repeats now - I added this Season Pass to my TiVo - I'll try to get back to you on it next week.

Scott Baio Is 46 . . . And Pregnant (VH1) I was surprised how much I liked Chachi when he was 45. His impending fatherhood should be fun considering the boys he still runs with.

MONDAY

Prison Break (FOX) Welcome back from the break. This show guarantees a good tense hour every time out.

Val Lewton: The Man In The Shadows (TCM) Brilliant producer/director. I almost added Cat People to my Ultimate List this week. This doc will probably make me wish that I had.

American Experience: Oswald's Ghost
(PBS) If you didn't add it to your Netflix queue a couple weeks ago, catch this doc on Lee Harvey tonight.

TUESDAY

American Idol (FOX) Welcome back, old friend. I will be sick of the show before it's over in May, but by January I'm ready to start all over again.

Some Assembly Required
(DISC) Always wondered how bowling balls were made? How about toilets?

The Alex Haley mini-series is just "Queen" (the name of the main character), not "The Queen."
