RIP, Mr. Noodle's Brother, Mr. Noodle

Emmy- and Tony-winning character actor Michael Jeter, best known in my household as Mr. Noodle's brother, Mr. Noodle on Elmo's World, passed away over the weekend. He was fifty years old.

My favorite Michael Jeter performance was his portrayal of a homeless cabaret singer in The Fisher King, although he was far better known for his work in films such as The Green Mile and his time spent on the sitcom Evening Shade.

I liked that creepy little guy, especially in the Fisher King as you mentioned, very touching. Mimes kind of bug me, but his Mr. Noodle character was filled with nothing but affection for the kids, his cluelessness will make children feel a bit less so in reruns for years to come.

This is to Z, above. Sir or madam, Mr. Pell is advertising his blog, and a fine campaign it appears to be. Instead of riffing on the blog, you riffed on EO's comment about "Mr. Noodle," and said, "Pitty he was gay but hey. The saddest thing is he didtn know the Lord before he died." Nice trick, turning this man's advertising dollars into another stab at a well-stabbed minority. Normally I wouldn't bite, but you pissed me off when you brought Your Lord onto My Screen. Z, homosexuality has been around since well before Christ's time and it is likely that one of the apostles was homosexual -- John, who wrote the Gospel According to John, unquestionably the most literary and moving of the four gospels. There is solid evidence of this beyond the fact that 12% of the population of the world will be homosexual. Jesus said his dad prepared many rooms for us, and we assume there will be one for a gay puppeteer as well as gay bloggers, gay sons, daughters, mothers and fathers. We assume that the ones turned away at the gate will not be the ones with lisps but the ones with logs in the eyes. - CW Fisher

CW, I now sit here very confused - are you saying you meant to comment on Dave Pell's blog? And I assume you noticed that Z made his or her comment in June?

How does Z know Mr. Noodle's brother Mr. Noodle didn't know the Lord anyway?
