Season Three of FOX's The OC is now in full swing on Thursday nights this fall.
Trey is wheeled into the ER followed by Ryan, Marissa, Seth and Summer. The police want to question them. Sandy shows up as Ryan passes out.
Skip to the weekend before senior year. Trey is in a coma. Marissa is trying to cope with the fact that she shot someone. But the DA wants to try Ryan for shooting Trey.
Kirsten is in rehab. She has realized why she turned to alcohol—her dad making her feel that she is never good enough. She isn’t ready to go home because she is scared she will let her family down.
Trey wakes up. Julie Cooper-Nichol goes to visit Trey in the middle of the night. Needless to say, the next day he tells the DA that Ryan shot him. Marissa offers her dad’s yacht for the four of them to make a get away. Naturally, the police show up just in time.
Marissa takes it upon herself, as a candy striper, to visit Trey to see if he remembers she shot him. He admits that he is trying to protect her and that her mom visited him. Good guy Sandy has figured out Julie’s plan but luckily Marissa’s visit did the trick and Trey admits that he would have killed Ryan had Marissa not shot him.
It was a dramatic opening picking up right where season two left off. The OC shows that senior year in high school isn’t all roses.
Tonight’s episode featured music from The 88 and Manishevitz.
Next week: Kirsten tells Sandy she is scared to go home. Jimmy meets with a guy about his financial situation. Marissa figures things out with her lawyer.

Also- Ryan has the same hair as in early season 1. What is up with that?
And it seemed a little too easy to tie everything up from the end of season two. Funny how that works in television.

The hair, it's all "look at me, it's combed and sophisticated, I'm a 40-something business man", but then you see him and you're just like "he's still a teen (or, plays one of TV), and can pull that off, oh my god!!!", awesomeness.

I think its a little young looking. But I think once it gets a little tiny bit longer it will be oodles of sexiness.

I seem genetically unable to notice men's hair unless there's something decidedly odd about it. Maybe if I ever watch this show I'll notice what y'all are talking about. However, if this dude's hair is the most interesting conversational topic arising from the show, I'll probably skip it in perpetuity.

HAHA no, its not the most interesting thing. It is just different this season, so it is something a girl takes notice of.
I wonder if Kirsten is going to faulter at all once she makes it home. I know that is what she is worried about- and that is realistic. Which is good that something is, because a lot of the drama is really far fetched.
Perhaps it is the tiny bits of realism that make the show so addictive.

I'll admit, i am addictied to the O.C. I think it's probably because when you watch it you forget about what's happening in your life and suddenly what's happening in the characters life in the O.C. draws you in... that's my opionion anyway. It's a great show, I'm looking forward to all of season 3.

I just want you all to know that, prior to someone elses comment, its not just girls that watch the OC. I am a 16 year old guy and I am hopelessly addicted to the show and a lot of people find that weird but its just because its like a fantasy land for me, like the life of Ryan and Seth, and maybe even Sandy when I'm older is the life that I want.
Oh and it's not just girls that notice Ryan's new haircut, I think that once it gets a little longer it will look really good too.

I guess it all started in 8th grade when my best friend Jen made me watch the first few episodes of the second season.
It's alright Laura you don't have to go on if it's too hard.
No I'm fine thanks. At first I was like what the hay?? But then Jen had a 1st season marathon. I knew exactly what was going on- and I was hooked. Then things just got a little crazy from there. I was yelling at the t.v. during commercial breaks and became obsessed with the supreme finess of Seth and Ryan. And- well- here I am.

Please help me out. I had no idea that SEASON TWO was even out. I'm still stuck where where ryan returns to Chino (is that the spelling) when he finds out that he's a daddy, then the four of them all go their separate ways. Was Theresa lying? Is Ryan raising his kid? Was the kid born? How did they get back together (the four)?
Please refer me to someplace i can find these answers.
