It’s enjoyable to watch the old programs again; to settle in for an afternoon of back-to-back Columbo and with no interruptions from ads etc etc. I would recommend buying the set for any fan of Peter Falk to be certain. The lighting may be very dated with the overhead instead of ambient light and the clothes are overdone and lots of sequins and too much make-up on the women and jogging suits and odd forms of exercise that I simply cannot explain, but overall, it’s worth it, and even the datedness is part of what makes it so pleasurable. It adds to the fun of things. Expect plenty of familiar faces who have since risen to fame and others who were famous at the time and made guest star appearances such as Vincent Price and Johnny Cash and a very young Martin Sheen who looks and sounds just like his son Charlie so much so that’s it’s quite something to see. It’s a veritable who’s who of Hollywood and fun to pick out who is now starring and in what and to see them as they were twenty odd or more years ago.
Be seduced again by Columbo, and if you never have been, then surrender and check it out.

these DVDs are well worth having and are packed with episodes, so do do check it out. YOu can buy them through Amazon.com, just make sure they have all the episodes from the season on them. But they are GREAT -- as you can see from my review, i obviously thought so and i wasn't in any way skewed by my crush on Peter Falk...it's genuinely good stuff.
thanks for reading and all best to you Nukapai :)
