Reminisce About College with BC's Road Trip: Beer Pong Giveaway

What happens when you take a handful of hot chicks, mix in some hilarious jokes, and drizzle some random crimes on top? Well, you get your stereotypical teen movie. If you toss in a family of strippers, add a relish of crazy hitchhiking girls with gun fetishes, and add a busload of hot virgins who are saving themselves for marriage, then you get an even better movie. Road Trip: Beer Pong takes all of these ingredients, pours them in a red plastic cup, and invites you to sink a ball.

Road Trip: Beer Pong is a straight-to-DVD sequel to the amazingly hilarious Road Trip. The movie follows a group of three college friends who are heading out to a national competition. Unlike the normal competitions of tennis, fencing, and bowling, these men are heading to the Collegiate Beer Pong Championship. The boys jump in the car, crank up the music, and let the hilarity ensue. In this unrated DVD, nothing, and I mean nothing, is held back.

Back in 2000, I loved Road Trip when it was out in theaters. Sure, I wasn't old enough to get in, but that didn't stop me and my friends from heading into the theater and watching it. I thought that the movie was one of the funniest that I had ever seen, and I really, really enjoyed it. Tom Green was hilarious, as were Breckin Meyer and Amy Smart. If Road Trip: Beer Pong is even half of the movie that the first Road Trip was, then it must be side-splitting.

Blogcritics, with the help of Paramount Home Entertainment, is giving away three (3) copies of the unrated DVD of Road Trip: Beer Pong. Three different winners, chosen at random, will receive a copy of the DVD, delivered right to your door. Just follow the rules below, and the movie can be yours.

Okay, here be the rules:

  • Fill out the entry form.
  • Entries must be received by September 1, 2009.
  • The winners will be drawn on or after September 2, 2009.
  • The winners will be notified by e-mail and in the comments section below.
  • You must be a U.S. resident to enter and over the age of 18.
  • Please read our privacy policy.

While a comment will not increase your likelihood of winning this contest, sharing with me your oddest beer pong rule will make me love you forever.

Someone over 12 would watch this movie? I thought this sort of thing was marketed to kids whose parents are to busy or unconcerned to actually care if their brains get filled with trash.

Why not? It's a glorification of most things that are wrong with how people grow up in our culture. I could see it's appeal for a very young person, who doesn't know any better yet. That it would still appeal to an older person is actually quite depressing. It doesn't say much for the future health of the culture. If I had children I wouldn't let them near a school for fear they'd become mindless nitwits who grow up to find movies like this entertaining rather than depressing.

I really love beer pong. Greatest game and oh boy does it bring back great memories. If you like beer pong as much as I do you should check out Party Pelican. It's a site where competitive drinkers can go to blog, post videos and photos, browse for local tournaments and read up on news and events.

I'm crossing my fingers that this straight to DVD release is at least half as good as Road Trip but I'm not holding my breath.

I really thought Road Trip was awesome back in 2000.
