The Last Sign (2004)
Studio: First Look Home Entertainment

Laurel and Hardy - Way Out West/Block-Heads
Studio: Artisan Entertainment
Rated: Not Rated
The Duke Says - Two masterpieces from the fat one and the thin one, and on the one set, would you believe? Way Out West is the 1937 glory concerning Ollie and Stan getting all "done over" by a nasty motherfucking Saloon Owner. Block-Heads from 1938 centers on the genius proposition that Stan has been wandering around in the trenches for 20 years following WW2, having never been informed of the end of the conflict. Brilliant.

Los Abelardo's - Grandes Exitos En DVD
Studio: EMI Video
Rated: Not Rated

The Lovers (1994)
Studio: Tai Seng Video Marketing, Inc.
Rated: Not Rated

Lucky 13
Studio: MGM Home Entertainment
Rated: Not Rated

Magic Moments: The Best of 50's Pop (2004)
Studio: Sony Music Distribution
Rated: Not Rated
The Duke Says - Sadly, this isn't a collection of vintage performances, but rather a concert performance from 2001, featuring such luminaries as Perry Como, The Four Lads, The Crew-Cuts and so on. Maybe it's great, but a disc containing telly performances and the like from the era of giant communist ants and such would've been much preferable.

Man of the Year (2003)
Studio: Monterey Home Video
Rated: Not Rated
The Duke Says - It's still hard to believe John Ritter ain't with us no more, man. The star of Stay Tuned, Bride Of Chucky and, most recently, Bad Santa, just wasn't meant for to ever do anything so human as die. Here he is, plowing the more serious side of his persona, in a flick all about a party thrown for the fella of the title, and the hideous secrets unveiled throughout. A bit like Festen, thematically, if not necessarily visually.

Matango (1963)
Studio: Media Blasters
Rated: Not Rated
The Duke Says - Fantastically daft and yet rather eerie Japanese oddity concerning a bunch of folks who start turning into toadstools. Sounds ridiculous, and yet there it is, fucking wonderful.

NASCAR: The Imax Experience (2004)
Studio: Warner Home Video
Rated: PG

Neon Genesis Evangelion - Platinum: 06 (2004)
Studio: ADV Films, Inc.
Rated: Not Rated

New Suit
Studio: MTI Home Video
Rated: Not Rated

Ninja in the Claw of the C.I.A. (1983)
Studio: RED Distribution

Chris, Sword Of Doom is well worth checking out. And yeah, Criterion do a brilliant job. shame they couldn't grab more extras on occasion. Mind you, extras or no, their release of Kwaidan is immaculate. Dig those colors, would you ever?
