Raging Critic: American Idol Group 4 Results

Opie and The Wahine Lead Us To Wild Finish
American Idol Sends Two More To The Finals As The Wild Cards Prepare For A Rematch
By: The Raging Critic

I was sitting in my room waiting for the horrifying results show. I had decided after last night that no matter what happens tonight I will be angry. None of these 8 contestants deserve a shot at the big title. NONE OF THEM! Needless to say, I forced myself to watch the show anyway. I kind of felt like one of those twisted goth kids who cut their skin with razor blades simply because they want to experience pain. NOTHING could have been more painful than what America went through last night.

The announcer suddenly makes his grand entrance......... "The hope ends here. Who goes on? Who goes home?" Well, Mister American Idol Announcer Man, the hope has slowly started to diminish after the Brady Bunch invaded your show last night. In fact, it looks almost like Sam the Butcher slaughtered the viewing public. Folks - this show is in sorry shape!

Seacrest announces that we find out who the wild cards are tonight as well. WOOOOOO HOOOOOO! FINALLY - there is a light at the end of this tunnel. Maybe Sara Logan is waiting at the very end???? Maybe the Scooter Tard will be zipping around gleefully while donning her VIP Wild Card Pass???? Maybe the judges finally forgave the hateful Kira mongrel and invited her back for a make-up kiss???? By this point, I wanted the results over. I could care less about these dingledongs! SO - ON WITH THE SHOW!

Ryan then passes me Sam the Butcher's cleaver. Someone needs to put group four to rest. After all, they did put me to sleep. Look out kiddies, not even Alice can save you now!

JOHN PREATOR - You look like a Gap commercial gone retarded. You sound like Art Garfunkel gone retarded. Either way, you are are carrying an extra chromosome and we at home feel left out. Soooooo, get your patootie on the nearest short bus and slobber your whole way home.

Add #12 Lisa Leuschner to the mix. I accidentally deleted her name prior to posting.

I believe that a line should be drawn between an American Idol judge being a judge of talent (or so-called American Idol x-factor) and being a judge with a license to be deliberately mean on national TV.

What Simon said to Jasmine in tonight's Final Four episode which went something like "you better hope that every household in Hawaii has five telephone lines" (and more) was not only mean but blatantly cruel.

Jasmine is a 16 year old kid who obviously gave her best shot despite insurmountable odds. We all know that she has been getting some slack lately. However, this does not give the right for an American Idol judge to not only pin her on the wall, but pin her down on the wall repeatedly (with no measure of decency or respect) till she broke (in tears) on national TV!!!

I should say that Jasmine has proven to be an exceptionally strong person to take insult to injury with grace and character (without answering back).

As a responsible society, we should be careful on what we feed the mind of millions of television viewers, a significant number of which is compriced by our youth.

Tonight's American Idol episode simply said that it is alright break a person (or snuff a a 16 yr old kid's spirit out) with no smidgen of respect in front of the whole world. That it is alright to do all these in the name of national TV!

Indeed, we do need to redefine our understanding of our "American Idol".

What happened tonight was a showcase of "un-Idol" behavior. Worse than Janet Jackson showing her breast during the Super Bowl half time.
