A sequel is currently in the works for Pirates of the Caribbean, the biggest surprise hit of this summer.
Pirates has already brought in about $250 million at the box office and is still going strong. The film had its obvious weaknesses, but by the time the credits rolled I had to admit I was entertained. The picture was fun, lighthearted and was supported by decent visual effects.
Apparently Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightley and Johnny Depp have all been secured for the sequel.

Okay, I go with the teen crowd here: Johnny is SOOO HOTTTT *shriek* *faint*! Anyway, it was a film you could just enjoy . I wouldn't mind having that for another two hours or so. C'mon, Duane, hon! Why can't a guy say another guy is hot? I think Hugh Jackman is the hottest thing going, and even if it were a possibility, I wouldn't want to sleep with him. Your acknowledging a man's aesthetic or even erotic beauty wouldn't make any intelligent person think for an instant that you were gay. And no intelligent person would care anyway. In fact, it might make a sophisticated heterosexual woman find you very attractive. ;)

Why, Natalie, daaahling! You know something? You're absolutely right. I don't really care if people think I'm gay (although I'm not). Johnny Depp is one gorgeous guy, and if I were gay (although I'm not), I would definitely have his calendar on my wall at the office. And I agree with you about Hugh Jackman. He was so charming in Kate and Leopold that, if I were gay (and I'm not, by the way), well...well...well, you know. And besides that, I have no problem with homosexuality. Some of my best friends...well, wait... I know some gay people, and they're no diferrent from anyone else, except that they're gay (which I'm not -- did I mention that?). I think that men who hide their true feelings behind their masks of machismo are just immature, and probably insecure about their sexual identity (not me, I'm DEFINITELY a man's man... wait...I mean a manly man... I mean, I like women, OK?). Ahem...and how bout those Marlins? Uh, exuse me if I make a few typos. I jsut cut the shit out of my fingr changing the saw chain on my Husky 136.
Now, what about Jude Law? Hmmm? Now, there's a foxy guy. Umm... I mean, some women seem to find him attractive. Just wondering...heh.

Natalie, about the "acknowledgment doesn't mean you're gay" thing - I personally have trouble recognizing whether a man is good-looking or not. I can't figure out why my wife finds David Bowie (especially in Labyrinth) to be the studliest thing on Earth, with Morgan Freeman second and Sean Connery third (I can see the Connery thing). I mention Denzel Washington to her as someone I find visually captivating (to echo Duane above, I'm not gay - did I mention that?) and she tells me he's not at all attractive. I've never understood what the big deal was with Fabio a few years back - he looks like a complete dwid to me. So I shrug and don't bother to try. If women tell me a guy is hot, I believe 'em, but more than half the time it makes no sense to me.

This is a fantastic movie! Anyone who says otherwise is just plain tasteless. I mean honestly, there's stuff in it for everyone!! For the men: lots of adventure and battles. For the women: Orlando and Johnny!! It couldn't have been made any better, it's just not possible! There should DEFINITELY be a sequel, as long as Johnny and Orlando are in it. I could see this movie over and over (which i sorta already did..) I give it **********/***** (10 out of 5 stars) :)

well, the thing is that Johnny is cool AND hot ;) !!!Orlando Bloom was good but he wasnt one of the characters you would remember. Lets face it- if Orlando Bloom wasnt plyin Will Turner, you would be like Will the who? his character was played weak, compared to Captain Jack Sparrow, who is defenitely standing out and played GREAT!!! Johnny gave the character a great charm and ahowed the coolest side ;).Keira Knightly played really great in the PotC too, two thumbs up!
Overall i thing the movie was just GREAT nad cant wait for the second!!!
