This movie is actually a trilogy, composed of three short digital films. I liked it, but be warned: it's really a "chick flick," and anyone who doesn't especially enjoy this genre won't find it very appealing.
Talk about "Indie" actresses: Parker Posey has to be the queen supreme. I don't think she's ever matched her unforgettable performance in "Party Girl," but she continues to deliver the low-budget goods, just as she did in "Clockwatchers." For years, I've been trying to figure out if she's had a nose job, and this film finally answered the question: yes.
Kyra Sedgwick ("Singles," "Something To Talk About") and Fairuza Balk (Gas Food Lodging") are the other two stars, Indie princesses both.
The film is chatty, deliberate, wonderfully absorbing, if you care for this sort of thing. Again, I do. Rebecca Miller directed, from her book of the same title. Impressive to say the least, the ability to both write a notable book and direct a film expertly. I'd guess not more than 10 people in this country could do it. And I can't name the other nine.
