Tuesday night, many PBS stations are airing End of the Century along with a short on the Clash's Joe Strummer (check local listings).
When it came out on DVD, MuzikMan raved it was "one of the very best DVD career documentaries I have ever viewed." And there is a good review in Newsday. Also, Eric wrote a review of the album the doc's name is taken from.
And here is the description of the Strummer short:
In JOE STRUMMER ROCKS AGAIN!, the king rocker and legendary front man
of The Clash is hot on the comeback trail, touring America and Japan
before his untimely death in 2002. This intimate portrait is a
memoir piece produced by Strummer and his longtime friend Dick Rude.

If you have the opportunity to see End of the Century, take it. It's a really interesting film.

I can't find this listed anywhere on my satellite directory for PBS tonight. Is it being shown as part of Independent Eye, which seems to be what's on tonight?

Never mind, I found it on the PBS website. It's showing under the listing Independent Lens but PBS didn't bother to get a description to Dish Network as usual.

Yep, sorry about that.
It is part of Independent Lens which is on Tuesdays on many PBS stations though others run it on different days (and ofcourse Dish shows it during the national time).
