I have been somewhat surprised by, and even admired, the way Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie have maintained their rather sweet girlish friendship that is at the heart of their The Simple Life series.
But, alas, all good things must end, and SOMETHING Nicole did — besides losing weight and looking as hot as posing-Paris in the current series — has mightily pissed off the hotel heiress, so much so that she issued a statement:
"It's no big secret that Nicole and I are no longer friends. I will not go into the details of what happened. All I will say is that Nicole knows what she did and that's all I am ever going to say about it."
Hilton is reportedly trying to convince Fox to recruit Rod Stewart's daughter Kimberly Stewart to costar with her on The Simple Life 4. "You know, I've had three great seasons," Hilton said. "I love the show, and I just want to freshen it up and make it funnier and bring new things in. It's going to be a big surprise. And everyone is going to be very excited and happy about it."
"We are currently discussing internally the creative direction of the next season of The Simple Life," a Fox spokesman said. "We are huge fans of both Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie and look forward to solidifying our plans for the next installment of this fantastic franchise in the very near future."
Rumor also has it that Richie might get her own reality spinoff, a Newlyweds-type endeavor focusing on her life with soon-to-be husband Adam Goldstein, aka DJ AM.
E! reports that the leading theory of who did what to whom concerns a prank gone bad at Hilton sister Nicky's apartment, where a group had gathered to watch Paris's (unimpressive) Saturday Night Live hosting debut from February only to find that SOMEONE had replaced the SNL tape with the infamous One Night in Paris snurfle tape.

This show is nothing without nicole!Paris Hilton is not funny at all!Nicole is the funny one!If they kick her off the show I won't watch it!Besides who is this"kim"girl they want to replace her with she is not very popular!I have a feeling this show is going to stop on its 4th season,how did it make it that long!

I am sad about paris & nicole's breaking up as friends.i think they are both funny girls and fun to watch.
As for if nicole really did that,paris should have shrugged it off and took it without making a big deal.
She must have forgotten how much publicity she received for it.I mean the simple life's first season ratings were outraegously good.
And if Nicole did do that,she was wrong but, maybe she didnt think it would turn into a dismantle of a lifelong friendship.It's not the end for her though.
That girl is an extraordinary energetic and fun girl and best of luck to her and her future husband.
Maybe what really happened was that the both of them just grew up.
It happens.
Now in regards to Paris trying to replace Nicole with Rod Stewarts daughter "Kim" thats just rude and inconsiderate.Feud or no feud you can't try and erase someone who equally helped you become a household name more than you already were.
I hope they can reconcile..it's really a shame!

Her face looks like a piece of cheese, her nose is crook'd like a witch and I cannot believe anyone would want to go near that unless they were trying to get something out of it $$$. The only funny thing about The Simple Life is that both the girls are ugly and at the same time trying to act like their are the mutts nutts, Gee wiz...Paris Hilton is a washed up ugly butcheek.

I will say that the picture of Paris and Kimberly Stewart at the top of this post is a great example of the BAB blonde test: if you changed their hair color to dark brown or black, would they still be hot?
