Open Range is running for a little while already, but I never had the nerve to watch it, so I didn't watch the new release right in its first week like I usually do. Now I checked it out, and it was exactly as boring as I'd expected. Beautiful nature, guys hopping around on horses, fighting like men, shooting, issues with guys in the city, an affair with a woman...
I guess for this movie I have a few disadvantages:
1. I do not like Kevin Costner.
2. I do not like Western.
3. I find movies boring that are mainly ruled by men and almost zero women.
So it was quite clear from the beginning this movie would bore the hell outta me. The story is boring anyway - just like I described above. The only two great things about the movie were the little dog and actor Diego Luna.
If you like Western you maybe like the movie. But if I had a choice I'd still prefer one of the classics.
