Nick Cannon, whose most recent gig was hosting the last season of the hit NBC show, America’s Got Talent, is coming back to the network where he started. Cannon’s first television gig was on the Nickelodeon variety show All That. His career really took off as he became very well known as an actor (in movies like Underclassman), comedian, musician, writer, and producer. He was so successful that People magazine called him one of the Top Ten Most Successful Young People in Hollywood.
For the next two years, Nick will be the chairman of TeenNick, working as a creative consultant for the network on air, online, and behind the scenes.
“I started my career here at Nickelodeon and am so excited to be back, serving as an integral part of TeenNick as the in-house voice and representative for teens everywhere,” the new chairman said. “TeenNick is their network and I am here to make sure this is an ultimate destination for and about them.”
TeenNick is basically the teenage version of Nickelodeon and is the home to shows like Degrassi: The Next Generation, a teen drama. The N officially changes its name on September 28, but the changes are already happening. The channel’s website is now TeenNick.com. Promos for season nine of Degrassi (airing in October) on TeenNick already feature Degrassi stars interacting with Cannon.
He'lll also do a lot of producing for TeenNick. He will host and produce the TeenNick Halo Awards, which will air in December 2009. The show honors ordinary teens making a difference in the world. In addition to that, Cannon will produce a movie, currently in development, to air on Nickelodeon.
Nick Cannon has the charm to win over a lot of viewers to TeenNick. The network's new style is sure to be a success.

Nick personally I like Degrassi, but some of it is a litte over board but as a high school i know that a lot of the drama is really true it happens all over schools. I really would like to see more of the new shows the old stuff is annoying. I think it would be better if it involved more characters and new drama

The only reason I watch teen nick is for the re runs of what I like about you, save by the bell, Drake and josh, I carly. Everything else sucks.. you should get new stars...

Stop hating on degrassi seriously if you don't like it, then don't watch it you can get all the shows online so why don't just want zoey 101 ect online if you want to watch it that bad it's seriously annoying that all of you are hating on it when we live in the 21st century

YEEEEEEEEEESSSS!!! Degrassi is an old show it started in the 80's which alot of ppl dont know...the it came back out when i was in the 6 grade i think...imma sophmore in college now and they still making episodes with the same plot but a different cast..change needs to be brought because it needs to be ..all good things must come to an end.bring back all that with some new episodes that could work
