New TV Shows From ABC, CBS, and NBC - Falling For Fall

I have a problem: I love the summertime and its long days outside free from TV commitments (barring the random reality show), but then I also really look forward to new shows that will arrive in the fall. What brings it into focus now is that this week the nets are presenting their slew of new.

Many are taking a cinematic route in season-long serialized dramas like 24 and Lost, with star power from film actors (James Woods, Jeff Goldblum, Ray Liotta, Matthew Perry, Jeremy Sisto).

The Big Three were the first to present new shows, and from these there are a several shows I am thinking sound cool. What's surprising is that most of them come from NBC who could possibly turn their bad fate around next season. I hope to add the Fox and CW shows (if there are any) later this week.

Jericho (CBS, Weds. 8pm)
Kind of like Invasion but instead of aliens the threat is possible nuclear destruction. In isolated Jericho, Nevada people get paranoid and secrets come to life as they ponder being potentially the only ones left alive. Skeet Ulrich and Gerald McRaney star.

The Nine (ABC, Weds. 10pm)
Nine strangers become forever linked following a 2-day hostage ordeal that is clouded in mystery. Each week another 10 minutes of the crisis is revealed through flashbacks focused on individual characters within the nine. Tim Daly, Chi McBride, Kim Raver (24), Scott Wolf star.

Traveler (ABC, mid-season)
Three college friends become unwitting suspects of a terrorist bombing and in their pursuit to prove their innocence more mystery develops. One of the friends disappears and may have never existed at all. What happens next? A relatively unknown cast stars with Director David Nutter (The X-Files, Supernatural) behind the helm.
