Movie Review: W. - Page 3

W. is a mixed bag of good and bad, right and wrong, failures and successes. Its jokey nature and lack of in-depth analysis leaves you feeling like you were owed so much more for your time and money. Brolin’s performance, however, is brilliant and thankfully this, plus some interesting accounts of Bush’s early life, renders the film “watchable” when it easily could have slipped into “terrible”. Bush may go down in history as the worst President ever and unfortunately the cinematic version of his life doesn’t do his fascinating tale justice.
