Richard Gere as Clifford Irving was wonderfully funny, suave in a mature sense and very charismatic as a man in a mid-life crisis. Alfred Molina as Dick Suskind, a naive but greedy friend, was perfectly cast for this charcter. And Marcia Gay Harden as Edith Irving was fantastic, but wasn't given enough work in this film to show her true abilities as a great actress. I was overwhelmed by Eli Wallach's ability to knock down his lines and carry his character to a height that no other person could have been able to if playing the part of an eccentric and funny Noah Dietrich. The supporting cast of Stanley Tucci, Julie Delpy, and Hope Davis gave a realistic look to the stylish 1970s media world. This film is quite remarkable.
