Dunstan: Yeah, we were supposed to tie up the loose ends, which we did.
Melton: You’re right Marcus. We have nothing to worry about. Mission accomplished.

As the time runs down to nil, Hackl hears a deafening groan as the steel bars lift into the ceiling and the flesh of the two men on either side of him rip away. Above him, their organs dangle from the now blood-stained cords. Beside him, the writers’ bodies lay limp as blood spews from their cavernous chest cavities.
Hackl keeps himself from vomiting and begins to thrash and curse at the death of his friends. Suddenly, Hackl notices a silver tape recorder dangling with Melton’s liver. He strains, but reaches the device and presses play to listen.
Jigsaw: Melton and Dunstan could have saved themselves, but they weren’t smart. Go figure, the writers took my words far too literally. They tied up the loose ends left from Saw IV, but no one said to tie the loose ends to the steel bars. Their stupidity of not incorporating a revelation ending backfired; they should have been wiser and written an ending that didn’t spell itself out 60 minutes in. Sadly, the plot took a backseat to the money. With that said, I hope the future screenwriters are an improvement. I hope the end result is a script that isn’t more of the same and without a twist. If not, we still have that Saw VI draft of Melton’s and Dunstan’s to throw around. Anyway, as for you, Hackl, keep the camera rolling. You’ve passed this stage, but your work isn’t finished yet.
