Movie Review: 3:10 To Yuma - Page 2

Usually remakes don't do well at the box office, but I have a strange feeling that there are quite a few western movie enthusiasts, like myself, who want to see more of this genre. I recommend you first rent or buy the original 1957 version and view it. Then go see this remake and notice the big difference in the directing and filming styles. During the 1950s, westerns like High Noon and 3:10 To Yuma were made for suspense with action shootouts as a finale. Todays' films find success in giving the audience action throughout the plot with a subtle amount of suspense. Never the less, the quicker pace in this movie is the necessary addition to make this a better flick than the original. Try it - You'll like it.
