Movie Media: Young @ Heart, Funny Games, Quantum of Solace, Kung Fu Panda, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Shutter

Part of: Movie Media

Okay, last week was a bit of a monster spawned by my promise of a larger edition to make up for the one I missed. I wish I could do that every week, but unfortunately, reality has a way of butting in. Still, this week brings some nice new goodies for you to enjoy.

Anyway, welcome back to the Movie Media column, featuring trailers, posters, and clips for upcoming films. Some are nice and fresh, and some aren't. However, they all have something in common: for better or worse, they all caught my attention. If there is a poster or trailer you think I should check out, be sure to let me know.

This week's movie goodies include trailers, posters, and stills covering all manner of upcoming fare, from a horror remake to an elderly documentary, from domestic terror to animated martial arts, and more!

Young @ Heart - Poster, Trailer

This movie looks like an absolute blast. I have seen the trailer in a theater on a couple of occasions now. Each time it plays it gets an absolutely ecstatic reaction from the crowd. Laughs, cheers, and comments on wanting to see it emanate from those around me. It is a documentary about a an elderly cover band. You have to see it to believe it. I only hope it gets a wide enough release so that I can see it on the big screen.

Funny Games - Poster, Trailer

Watching the trailer for this movie makes me want to track down the original, which raises an interesting dilemma. As interested as I am in the original, should I wait until after seeing the remake? I probably will, but I do want to see it. Michael Haneke directed the original and is at the helm of the American remake. The film looks deliciously twisted and dark. Well, take a look at the new poster and another trailer:

Quantum of Solace - Poster

The James Bond film, the twenty-second in the franchise, is being called Quantum of Solace. I am sure you already knew that. I am pretty sure that you have already seen this poster too. However, I am not going to let it stop me from sharing it with you again. The title is a little weird, but it is a genuine Ian Fleming title. Of course, it was a short story that barely had Bond in it, but I am willing to go along for the ride. The main thing here is that the teaser poster is really cool looking, don't you think?
