Movie Media: Son of Rambow, Iron Man, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Shutter, Zombie Strippers, Zombies! Zombies! Zombies!, The Memory Thief, Smart People

Part of: Movie Media

Welcome back to the Movie Media column featuring trailers, posters, and clips for upcoming films. Some are nice and fresh, and some aren't. However, they all have something in common: for better or worse, they all caught my attention. If there is a poster or trailer you think I should check out, be sure to let me know.

This week's movie goodies include trailers and posters for a family film from overseas, a couple of upcoming blockbusters, more horror remakes, zombies, and more!

Son of Rambow - Poster, Trailer

I can't wait to see this film. I hope the trailer is indicative of the rest of the film. It tells the story of Will, a young boy who isn't allowed to watch movies or television. He becomes friends with Lee, who likes to make home movies. After a viewing of First Blood, the two set out to make their own film. The tailer looks great, and the poster has definite charm.

Iron Man - Poster

Two more Iron Man posters have been released, the final US poster and an international release. Now, as excited as I am for the movie, and as great as the released footage has been, I cannot claim to be excited by these images, which are quite similar. They are your standard head shot posters. I actually like both of the teasers better than these. Fortunately, they do not dampen my excitement for said film.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall - Posters

Short, simple, to the point. I like it. I hope to like the movie. (and the actress playing Sarah Marshall certainly doesn't suck). Next to that is the official poster featuring star and writer Jason Segel (How I Met Your Mother) and a broken heart.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - Poster

Here it is, the final poster for the fast approaching fourth Indiana Jones adventure. I really liked the first one, but this one just oozes Indy. Doesn't it? It looks to be right in line with the posters for the first three outings. I am very excited for this film, I hope it delivers.

Shutter - Poster

I have a new poster for the upcoming flick Shutter to share with you. It is nothing terribly special; actually I find it to be downright boring. I hope it is not representative of the film. Shutter is the latest in the long line of Asian horror remakes, and the third of 2008, following One Missed Call and The Eye. It tells the tale of ghostly images of the dead appearing in still photographs. I wonder if it only works with standard film, or if digital works too? I mean Moonlight tells us that vampires can be captured in digital photographs (something about silver nitrate). Anyway, this poster remains dull and uninspired. Also, what is up with "From the Executive Producers of The Grudge and The Ring"? You know what that tells us, right? Absolutely nothing. That's right, nothing.
