Movie Media: Monsters vs. Aliens, Nobel Son, Star Trek, Watchmen, Silent, Hotel for Dogs, Angels & Demons

Part of: Movie Media

Welcome back to the Movie Media column, featuring trailers, posters, and clips for upcoming films. Some are nice and fresh and some aren't. However, they all have something in common: for better or worse, they all caught my attention. If there is a poster or trailer you think I should check out, be sure to let me know.

This week's movie goodies include posters, trailers, and stills for some feature films and even a couple of behind-the-scenes clips! Hopefully, you'll enjoy taking a gander!

Monsters vs. Aliens - Trailer

This looks like a lot of fun — now we only have to wait until March, 2009 to see it! It is the next feature animation from Dreamworks Animation, and I am sure they are hoping to repeat the success they had with Kung Fu Panda. This time they have turned their attention to the science fiction realm. Aliens invade the Earth and humans, needing a way to combat them, enlist a group of monsters to fight for them.

Nobel Son - Poster, Stills, Trailer

This looks like it could be fun. It is a comedy about a dysfunctional family dynamic that ends up in betrayal and revenge. Alan Rickman stars as the highly educated Eli Michaelson, recent winner of the Nobel Prize in chemistry. However, as he is accepting his award, his son is being kidnapped. When the ransom call comes in, Eli refuses to pay. At this point Eli's issues all begin to pile up (including an affair with a student) while his son teams with his kidnapper to get money out of Daddy. The cast also includes Bryan Greenberg, Shawn Hatosy, Mary Steenburgen, Bill Pullman, Eliza Dushku, and Danny DeVito. Release date: December 5, 2008
