Movie Media: Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Sex and Death 101, Baby Mama, The Spirit, Bad Batch, Pineapple Express

Part of: Movie Media

Welcome back to the Movie Media column featuring trailers, posters, and clips for upcoming films. Some are nice and fresh and some aren't. However, they all have something in common: for better or worse, they all caught my attention. If there is a poster or trailer you think I should check out, be sure to let me know.

This week's movie goodies include media for a pair of pot comedies, a big budget sequel, a pregnancy comedy, a sex comedy, and more!

Hellboy II: The Golden Army - Stills, Trailer

I am really looking forward to this movie. Guillermo Del Toro is a very good director who has successfully built a career straddling the line of populist and art house films. He has an interesting filmography that includes: The Devil's Backbone and Mimic. How many directors can be at home with these vastly different films? Now, in the wake of the brilliant Pan's Labyrinth we get the sequel to Hellboy. This sequel looks like it is bringing his Pan-style vision together with his comic book sensibilities. The trailer looks fantastic, just take a look at these stills and the new trailer:

Sex and Death 101 - Poster, Trailer

Now, what would you do if the last name on the list was the name of a woman who preys on sexual predators? Prepare to find out in Sex and Death 101, a movie that could be quite entertaining, or completely terrible (that narrows it down, no?). Simon Baker stars as the man with the list and Winona Ryder as his destiny. Daniel Waters serves as writer and director, his credits include Demolition Man and Hudson Hawk.
