Funny Games - Poster, Trailer

I've never seen a Michael Haneke film, although I have wanted to see Cache. Anyway, Funny Games is Haneke remaking Haneke. He originally made this back in 1997 and now he is remaking it in Hollywood. This version of the film stars Naomi Watts and Tim Roth as the victimized couple. The trailer is pretty bizarre. A family goes on vacation, and then the neighbor boys stop over, then the terror begins. Then there is the poster, which is seriously unsettling. Don't believe me?

One Missed Call - Poster

It wasn't that long ago that I brought you the trailer for One Missed Call. If you recall, the trailer was not all that special. You will also remember that this is yet another Japanese import being translated through the Hollywood machine. It may turn out well, but I am not holding my breath. In any case, the official one sheet has arrived. It has even given me a glimmer of hope for the movie. It is not much of a glimmer, mind you, but this poster is actually pretty creepy. Take a look for yourself:

Midnight Meat Train - Trailer

There I was, sitting in a darkened theater waiting for the movie to start - I forget which it was - but then this trailer starts. It started innocently enough. I recognized Bradley Cooper (Alias, Kitchen Confidential) as he talked about photographing the city, and Brooke Shields as, I am guessing, his editor. Then it got weird, people getting killed, lots of blood, meat hooks, and then the voice at the end intoning "Midnight Meat Train." I couldn't help it, I chuckled. That title is awesome. How can you go wrong with the combination of the words midnight, meat, and train? Then there is the fact it is based on a Clive Barker short and is directed by Ryuhei Kitamura who has made some excellent films in Versus, Azumi, and Sky High, and was at the helm for the final Godzilla outing. Just check out the trailer:
