Mean Girls

Over the weekend, I made the mistake of going to see Mean Girls. Written by Tina Fey (who's writing on SNL I really like), I was expecting a well written, well crafted flick with a healthy dose of sardonicism and satire.

What I got was fairly insipid, completely formulaic and predictable teen humor. There were the occasional flashes of cleverness (mostly towards the start the flick), but otherwise, you could see what was coming a mile away.

On the one hand, it's good to see Tim Meadows working again. On the other hand, I really need to go and see a movie that has at least an IQ over room temperature.

Watch time 1:00.

Thanks for the review. This was one of the films that the twin preteens want to see and I was resisting. Now it's wait til the video time.

I just want to see it for all the hot little chicas who are starring in it.

    Yes, I'm that perverted... :-/

I must agree with you RJ.If there is any
reason to see this insipid piece of s***
that would be the one. This would make a
fine double bill with "New York Minute"
    starring those Olsen Twins.

I had read great reviews for this and was sorely disappointed. Mean Girls tries too hard to be a family friendly movie with touches adult humor. I'll give Tina Fey the benefit of the doubt and assume she was going for something darker and was forced to fluff it up.

Except that one stars two ugly-ass, anorexic troll dolls.

I know that.I was only joking in the 1st

Going to have to agree with Tom on the twins. Don't lump them in with Lindsay Lohan. One is definitely jailbait material, the other two definitely are not.

As for Mean Girls, I was a bit disappointed too, only because I was hyped by reviews. Serves me right. I bet it would have been better if I went in expecting a little less. High expectations usually lead to disappointment. Oh well.

Yay, someone agrees with me on the creepy twins! Lohan? HOT, without a doubt. The non-Eric Olsens? Fugly. Eric, however, is lovely.
