According to a couple of items from Superman-V.com, there is a light shining through the darkness that is the upcoming Superman movie. Apparently Warner Brothers execs did not like the laissez-faire attitude towards pre-production that McG was demonstrating and have replaced him with.... Michael Bay.
Of course handing the reins of this iconic film character to almost anyone but McG can only help things, but Bay could be a very good thing indeed. The man is known for blockbuster films, and he's been known to put a patriotic spin on things as well. These two could make a great combination for Superman 5.
Now if he can only do something about that horrid script....
