Alexis, Jax and Emily all pleaded with Nikolas to just let Jerry be; Nikolas refused, of course. Jerry unveiled his latest plot, summoning everyone in the know to the Metro Court where he waited for the staff to predictably call the police. When they arrived he feigned innocence and waited for those who wanted Emily protected to affirm James Craig and Jerry Jax were not one in the same, but two different people.

- A "family moment" between Liz, Jason, and Jake will be interrupted when Lucky shows up to arrest Jason under Ric's orders. Yes, once again we will be explicitly shown why Jason's life cannot involve a child. No worries about Stone Cold's incarceration, though. How many times has the PCPD blown a case against him?
- Nikolas, Carly, Emily, Alexis, and Jax will have no choice but to protect Jerry in order to protect Emily.
- Though everyone around Lulu tries to shield her from the horrible truth, she will learn of the rape in the court hearing. Surprise – this all happens just before Tony Geary is slated to leave for a 12-week vacation. Predictable storyline, to say the least.
- Sam decides the only way to hold on to Jason is for the two of them to have a baby of their own, though she still hopes Jason will find the faith in her to confide about Jake.

I cannot believe the "hold" over Emily storyline. There are about a dozen holes in tat storyline, especially in a town where not one but many mobsters operate practically as town elders.
I am not interested in the "secret pain" storyline either but I will NEVER tire of hearing Spinelli say "secret pain".

Many of the plot-points surrounding the Craig is Jerry storyline are full of holes, Justene. It's wearing more than a little thin. The only bright spot at all is Sebastian Roche.
Justene and Penny -- The Spinelli character is the only thing that makes "Jason's secret pain" bearable. Though the poor guy is getting kicked around pretty bad this week by Sam and Sonny. At least Jason is standing by him.

I would love to see the writers give up on both Jason and Elizabeth and Jason and Sam. I used to like Sam because she was strong and independent but she seems to have lost her edge. And all Elizabeth does is whine which is becoming unbearable. Let's see the wirters bring in someone new who is Jason's equal-someone he doesn't end up playing hero to.

I would have to agree with you, Josie. In fact, I think it's a fatal flaw of most of the female characters. The writers tend to make them weak and dependent on a man. Sonny and Jason will go on about how strong Carly is, but the least bit of trouble and she's running to one of them.
You've already made the points about Sam and Elizabeth. Robin and Alexis are probably the only two that have some sort of independence and/or inner strength to them, and we don't see either as much as we see these other characters.

Okay, so today's episode kind of infuriated me. Would someone give Elizabeth a slap upside the head for me! So she goes to Jason and asks him if there is anything she can do for him. Like what is she going to do. All she is qualified to do is be a nurse and paint some pictures. Jason isn't bleeding and I don't think a painting is going to help him out. Not to mention she is treating Lucky like crap. She used to be such a nice and good person but lately she's become this spoiled self-centered brat. If the writers are planning on eventually pairing her with Jason then they better redeem her character and fast. I would really love it though if Jake turned out to be Lucky's and it was Rick who tampered with the DNA test hoping that Liz would leave Lucky to be with Jason and then Lucky would kill Jason leaving Elizabeth to turn to Rick. Can you tell I've thought about this?!

I feel your pain, Josie, look for my recap of yesterday's episode later this morning... But I will say Liz has been on my last nerve as well lately. Yesterday took the absolute cake.
First she tells Lucky she can't go to court because no one can watch the kids, then she runs off to visit Jason as soon as he's out of the house. When she gets caught there - she gets angry at Lucky because he's hurt and upset.
What they've done with Liz in the last year has become such a departure from where the character once was. It's almost as if they're turning her into a mini-Carly.

I think a mini-Carly would be better than what they're doing with Liz. At least Carly's honest about what she wants and does, and doesn't try to pretend even to herself that she isn't being manipulative. I guess what bugs me is that Jason can't see this and he sees Liz as some innocent thing who has played no part in his "secret pain" when in truth it's all her fault. It bugs me that Liz puts her own needs-such as keeping up a good reputation- and the fear of Lucky's addiction, before her sons. She can't be with Jason because of his career choice but it's okay to let a recovering addict who is too fragile to know the truth, raise her children? And what's with Jason putting Liz's wants before Sam a woman he supposedly loves, and his own child? It just seems that the characters aren't begin themselves or that the writers have forgotten how to write them.

There is a whole lot of charecter manipulation going on so the writers can force the story they want, well and also to deal with actor va-ca time, I suppose.
Jason's being held because Steve Burton is gong on vacation. Jerry swooped out of town, because Jax needs to follow so Ingo Rademacher can take his.
But you're right about Liz. The character has changed so much she doesn't even resemble herself a year ago. Jason has always been one to "do what's right." And I think a part of him believes his child would be in danger with him and Sam. So I can accept his actions, but Liz keeps flipping back and forth and manipulating both her and Lucky to get what she needs.
I can't wait until Lucky finds out the truth... though I suspect Liz will come out of this unscathed and it will somehow all be Lucky's fault.

Elizabeth is not whiny and she doesn't complain and she doesn't need a man to take care of her and the boys .secondly jason ask liz to marry him when he finds out she was pregnant and offer her a house and a nany and he also want give liz every he 's she and camron never have and liz turn down jason offer because they weren't in love with each other at that time so she turn jason down. third ELizabeth always a indipendent person she were on her own when she were really young and also as a job that may not pay well but at least she as a job and a small place of her own.

as for sam she was not independent at all sam start her life out as a con artist and a goal digger and who also married rich old men and clean out their bank a count and leave town and when sam come's into port charles she try to rob jax,sonny and end up pregnant and try use the child to get sonny to leave carly so sonny would want to marry sam but sonny don't want any thing to do with sam only the child she were carrying . so sonny pay off jason to pretend to be sam baby father and in the process end up breaking up jason and courtney marrige and the only person at that time was a homewrecker is sam and she still is one.

GH~ Thanks for the comments on this article tonight, but did you notice it's on an episode from the end of May? Unfortunately, as I've re-read it to refresh my memory, I see nothing has changed much.
I use to like the character of Liz, but a year's worth of lies has completely turned me off to her. Now, that doesn't make me a Sam fan either. And what was up with that 'cat fight' today? (More on that in the article covering today's episode)
They are billing November sweeps 'Would you Die for Love' and as I watched to see which women had the mask that we saw laying on the floor all bloody near Nikolas and the unidentified woman, I have to say it just might end up being a major player who dies. tell me please who in port charles have not lie or cheat or even do stuff out of there charactor I mean liz never claim to be prefect or better than any not because she doesn't go out her way bark at other people or tells her friends who to be friends with or not be friends with and not to date or care about and act like people is not good enough for them like carly. And people from different boards are say the they are glad carly up in liz face and that there glad carly going to make liz life a living hell and what carly said to liz is true on then sence of 1-8-08 but carly's fans are forgetting that carly is the biggest hypocrite of all time and they are forgetting carly did the same thing with micheal and baby spencer cassandine and the only difference is both times carly lies robin finds out and spills the sceret and the difference between liz and carly is liz out with the truth to zander before cameron even born and the second child jason spills the sceret even tthough liz didn't tell lucky about jake paternity but liz never breaks in the test result lab and go against her dead best friend wish's to let the man she love to know he is a father or sleep with her stepfather thats what carly did.

as for sam no one tells her to be con artist or do what she does and sam fans are always saying sam save everyone at the metro court but thats a lie because if it were not for spinellie and jason sam would be able to warn the police out side of the metro court about the bomb or how many mens are inside. sam gets to be a every day hero because of spinellie and jason but I guess no one would want to give jason or spinellie credits for saving everyone lifes because jason is dating liz and spinellie is still friends with jason.

While I appreciate the enthusiastic comments you've been leaving on these articles lately, this particular article is more than seven months old and the discussion in this thread applies to what happened back in May of last year.
Granted it's about Liz, Jason, Sam and Lucky and their situation hasn't changed much, but the frustration with Liz that is focused on here in this comment thread is about the specific action of a direct lie she told Lucky.
I understand you want to see Jason and Liz together. You're certainly not alone, many a fan does. Rest assured, I can almost promise your time is coming -- very soon. I also hope that Lucky and Sam are able to move forward as well, whether it be together or apart.
