It looks like Claudia may indeed have something to worry about. At Kelly’s, Lulu wavered back and forth with Maxie about what happened. She wanted to tell the police the truth and Maxie kept talking her out of it. Then Mac showed up to break the news to Maxie about Logan’s death and was surprised to see the two enemies together. Maxie quickly came up with a story about them trying to work out their differences. When Mac told them both what happened, Maxie put on a shocked face, while Lulu looked like she was in shock – which she undoubtedly still was from everything that happened.
A similar situation took place later when Lulu was with Johnny, and he too tried to talk her out of going to the police. Then Mac and Lucky showed up to question Johnny. Lucky took Lulu to Kelly’s and started with the “dating Johnny is dangerous” lecture again, while Mac stayed behind with Johnny.
After Mac left Kelly’s, Maxie went to Jason’s office and freaked out to see that Spinelli was trying to find surveillance tapes that showed who dropped off Logan’s body by the clinic so that Jason would be exonerated. To try and stop him, Maxie spilled soda on his keyboard. The Jackal was outraged. Maxie tried to play it off like Jason would never get convicted of anything and it didn’t matter since he was innocent. Her confidence in Jason’s innocence raised Spinelli’s suspicions.
It didn’t take long for Anthony to become involved with the Logan situation. Ric and Trevor were summoned to Anthony’s side and were told by the unhinged mobster that Logan was murdered. He told them he wanted Johnny protected since he thought that his son was responsible. Mac showed up, not to question Johnny but Anthony, whom the commissioner suspected committed the murder. It didn’t take much to appease Mac for the time being and by the time Mac left, Claudia showed up in answer to Anthony’s previous summons. She pled ignorance about the murder, but her father didn’t believe her. Instead, he told her to go to the PCPD and claim she saw Jason murder Logan, which of course she has no intention of doing. Later, Claudia returned to assure her father that she’d taken care of all of the evidence that would implicate Johnny. This still was not good enough for Anthony, and he had Maxie kidnapped so he could interrogate her himself and get the truth, which she started to give him.
