PCPD jumped on Logan’s death and set out to question everyone they thought could be involved. After taking Nadine’s statement about a dark sedan and a partial plate number, they questioned Matt Hunter, who shared that he’d seen a belligerent Logan fighting with Maxie. Nikolas and Nadine went with the police to answer more questions at the station; there, Nikolas expressed concerns for Nadine’s safety as a witness to the crime. She was undeterred, though, and continued to help the police.
The cops then turned their sights on Port Charles’ No. 1 criminal suspect, Jason. Diane had dropped by the penthouse to warn him about Logan’s death and how because of Logan’s involvement with the Zacharras, Jason would most likely be a suspect. He told Diane that he didn’t have anything to do with it and gave her three alibis for the night. Soon, Detective Harper came knocking on the penthouse door and took Jason into custody when he lawyered up under Diane’s watchful eye. Spinelli immediately hit the net to try and find the real murder and absolve his master.
Jason was soon released after Nadine didn’t identify him in a line-up, but not before Carly barged in and made a scene about Jason being in custody. She was allowed to speak with him in private, but in true Carly fashion, the discussion quickly turned to focus on her. She told Jason that she’d give the press access to the Crimson offices and started a rumor that Kate had an affair with her former boss at Coutour.
Claudia continued with damage control of the Logan situation. She arranged for the hacked-up front door to be replaced, but disagreed with Johnny about replacing the blood-stained rug. She thought it would raise too much suspicion. She also told Johnny that she was worried that Lulu was a bigger danger to the situation than the rug, since she was so reluctant to accept the cover-up.
