Making the Rounds at General Hospital: Oh, Baby! - Page 3

Part of: Making the Rounds at General Hospital

What’s been good about this somewhat protracted quarantine storyline is the affection that Jason is showing for Spinelli. It’s really rare nowadays that we see any emotion from Jason. He’s spending so much time shielding himself from the things he loves and feels, these scenes where he tells Spinelli that he is proud of him and is glad that he’s a friend are special.

When Jason finally got home from the hospital, he found Diane in his apartment, cleaning. After assuring her that there was no risk from the virus anymore, he wanted to discuss business. Diane shrugged him off to warn him that Carly was dealing with a huge problem and he should be prepared. She couldn’t give specifics because of attorney/client privilege, but waned him that she may ask him to make a big sacrifice for her. She also let slip that she thinks that Carly and Sonny will eventually get back together and how she doesn’t understand why Sonny and Jason are so committed to her when she causes such trouble. After Diane leaves, Jason listens to his messages just in time for Carly to show up with a pregnancy test.

Maxie took the rest of the day after the photo shoot at the MetroCourt to invite herself to Lulu and Johnny’s date at the boathouse. She was more overt in her efforts to seduce Johnny than ever, and both Lulu and Johnny were clear with their rebuffs. While Johnny and Lulu were swimming, Maxie answered Johnny’s cell phone. It was Anthony who called and she took the message that he wanted to see his son, but didn’t deliver it. Instead, Maxie left and Anthony called back, telling Johnny to get his butt to the MetroCourt. This left Lulu alone, but not for long. Having overheard Anthony’s conversation with Johnny, Logan went out to the boathouse to warn her away from Johnny yet again and also tell her that he missed her. Lulu told Logan is was over and they were not getting back together.

At the MetroCourt, Johnny and Maxie end up in the same elevator. Again, she tried to flirt, but Johnny would have none of it. Then the elevator got stuck (of course) and Lulu was there when the doors finally opened. Thinking the worst, she sent Johnny off to see his father and then argued with Maxie about her throwing herself at Johnny. The two exchanged verbal shots, but Maxie took it a step too far by saying something about Laura’s mental state. She apologized, saying it was one thing to trade insults and another to really be cruel. Maxie said she was trying to look out for Lulu because mental illness runs in families and she seems to be going down the same path of adventure and danger her mother did, which may or may not have contributed to her dissociative condition. Lulu said thanks for the concern, but she could take care of herself.
