Of course, the couple then fought about whom Liz sided with, and then fought some more as Robin expressed that she didn’t want her baby to become attached to Patrick if he was just going to leave down the road (and implied that eventually everybody leaves). Patrick was hurt by this statement and reluctantly left after finding out that Robin called Maxie to come stay with her, not to mention some choice comments about how she so didn’t need him. This is a very big turnaround from last week when all she wanted was for him to stay with her during her recovery. What’s up with that?
Well, in Friday’s episode, Anna finally came back to find Robin and Patrick arguing again. Finally off bed rest, Robin tried to go to work, but found Patrick at her door instead. The same argument flared up all over again. This time, Anna appeared and told Patrick to leave. Mother and daughter reunited briefly before Anna took a call, giving Robin a chance to sneak out. At the hospital, she ran into Patrick again who informed her that he’s thinking of seeking a court order to spend time with his child – before birth.
Jason’s fever started to break as it looked like Claudia was about to suffocate him with a pillow. Minutes earlier, Anthony ordered her to kill Jason if she wanted back into the family business. It turns out that Claudia didn’t have the stomach for it after all and instead propped Stone Cold’s head, waking him with a start. He told Claudia to stay away from him. Just as the two started arguing again, Spinelli came down from researching a possible break in the “who hired Devlin to shoot Sonny” mystery delirious with fever. After spouting some prophetic and frighteningly accurate advice about Jason’s future as mob boss, the Jackal was taken to GH for treatment, as he was much worse than Jason had been.
There, Jason told Claudia to go home, but she refused, saying that she wanted to be there for someone as sweet as Spinelli. Jason asked Liz what was going on with him. She said that this mysterious Asian virus could not be treated with antiviral meds and they just had to get him hydrated and keep an eye on him. Liz also covertly watched Jason and Claudia’s interactions with a somewhat concerned eye that were somewhat increased when she overheard Spinelli telling Jason that he thought Claudia was crushing on him. Once he realized that Liz was in the room, he tried to take it back, but in true Spinelli form, spent the rest of the day beating himself up about the comment, even though Liz feigned unconcern.
