Jason walked in with The Jackal atop the Mob Princess on his couch, and of course assumed the worst. Stone Cold flipped before realizing Spinelli was drunk. After choice words between him and Claudia, Jason ordered pizza for Spinelli so he wouldn’t get sick. Unfortunately, the delivery guy was carrying some form of avian flu and Jason’s whole building was quarantined – trapping Jason, Spin, and Claudia in the penthouse. Tensions ran high between Jason and Claudia as she took pokes at the mobster by defending Spin every chance she gets. I REALLY hope they’re not trying to set up a romance here between Claudia and Jason.
Just as Robin and Patrick were making some headway with accepting their relationship as parents, Mac went off the deep end after Robin was released from GH and ordered on bed rest. He hired Epiphany to move in with Robin and tend to her 24/7 until the baby was born. What’s more, he made sure that both Robin and Patrick knew that Dr. Daddy was persona non grata and that Epiphany was to keep Robin’s stress levels at a bare minimum. Since she’s been craving Chinese, junk food, and Dr. Daddy 24/7, Robin was stressing even more when she was put on a diet of healthy foods and no Patrick. I get the whole protective parent thing on Mac’s end, but to be fair, Robin is a grown adult and this whole situation just seems silly to me.
Finally, Nikolas and Nadine’s storyline from last week continued. Though Nadine thought Nikolas had invited her to Spoon Island for a personal meeting, he was all business. He told her that he wanted to open up a free clinic in Emily’s name and wanted her help to make it happen. Though she was a little embarrassed that she’d assumed she was there for personal reasons, she was happy to help, even as Claudia showed up and caught on to Nadine’s crush on Nikolas. Claudia didn’t pass up the opportunity to let Nadine know she was tilting at windmills, which in turn had Nadine feeling even more foolish.
Later in the week, Nikolas and Nadine went to check out some commercial space for the clinic and ended up in police custody. They hadn’t known that the site was a known place for a prostitution ring, so when they found Nadine and Nik on the ground together (she had fallen off something and he caught her), the PCPD assumed that other things were going on. They were both released and Mayor Floyd gave the cops a talking to about their effectiveness on crime.
