Kate, upset about Sonny’s withdrawal after their conversation about him returning to the business, was reassured when he told her he would not be going back any time soon. He then told her about Carly’s visit and Kate about Alexis’ plea to help her sway Sonny’s opinion on custody of Kristina. Later, Kate came upon Jax and Carly at the Metro Court. Carly was still raw from her conversations with Sonny and Mac, and when Kate nicely asked that she leave Sonny alone, she pounced. As always, Kate took the high road and Carly went to Jason to blow off steam. Carly’s mind may be going down dangerous roads now, as it seems like she’s going to be trying to split Kate and Sonny up. Meanwhile, it looks like the writers may be setting up Kate and Jax as a potential relationship.
Anthony Zacchara played his part last week by dropping in at the new penthouse Claudia and Johnny have secured across from the Metro Court. He expressed his displeasure at his children’s move away from the family. Claudia assured him that they would be moving back into the mansion once the renovations are complete. When Johnny asked her later what she could have been thinking, Claudia said that she had to lie to get him to leave and a lot can happen while the house is rebuilt - including their father’s death. Personally, I’m getting a little tired of these teases that Claudia might kill Anthony. Do it or don’t do it, but please don’t drag it out.
Anthony also dropped by Crimson to deliver a message to Lulu. While he was there, he made things awkward for Kate, as he began to expound on his big, bad mobster reputation in front of Kate’s rival, Giselle. Since her arrival in the office, Giselle had picked at everything she could and Anthony’s grandstanding caused her to question Crimson’s funding sources. Jax arrived in time to save the day with his famous charm and the three went off to The Haunted Star for a night of gambling.
Lulu and Johnny just missed each other at the office, which gave Maxie an excellent excuse to start her nefarious flirting. Lulu went to Johnny’s new pad to look for him and ran into Claudia. After the usual threats and such, the two parted acrimoniously, with Claudia promising Lulu that her days were numbered. Not for nothing, but I think Lulu has been pushing the envelope when it comes to her mouth lately and it would serve her right to get a little consequence for it, especially when she walks into people’s houses uninvited.
