Les Osbournes sans "bip"

CBC Radio One is revamping their morning schedule. They've moved C'est La Vie to Wednesday mornings. The show is about French speaking Canada in English. This week they interview the Quebec translator for The Osbournes on Musique Plus. What's interesting is that The Osbournes isn't beeped in Canada. In English, on CTV (one of the three national broadcasters) you get to hear every "fuck", "shit" and "asshole", which makes the show less funny. The show is sponsored by Labatt Blue, but they have bleeped the beer ads, even though they are only shown surrounding the unbleeped show.

With the French version the swear words in French are different and more diverse. Also since the translator can't often make out what the fuck Ozzy is saying, he just has to make it up. You can hear the show online.

You do have to admit this sounds pretty cool:
"MusiquePlus t'offre les Osbourne en version intégrale, pas de censure et de " bip " sonore pour masquer les vulgarités. Et heureusement pour ceux qui ont de la difficulté à déchiffrer ce que dit l'ami Ozzy, les sous-titres en français sont là pour aider."
