Jose Gonzalez, solo artist and front man for the Swedish band Junip, is the subject of the documentary film The Extraordinary Ordinary Life of Jose Gonzalez.
This semi-biographic movie depicts Gonzales as he reveals daily life reflections relating to his boredom and struggle to write songs for his second upcoming solo album In Our Nature. The video teaser for the film gives us only a glimpse of the tortured process he goes through to appease his inner critic and bring to his audience musically inspired renewal and auditory genius. The film is currently on tour in Europe, no word yet of a US debut.
The 75-minute documentary spans several countries including Japan, Singapore, the UK, the United States, South Africa, Chile, and Argentina. It was directed by F. Egerstrand and M. Cee Karlsson, with music by Jose Gonzalez, and featuring animation by Per-Isac Snalls.
