Jonas Brothers Sweep the 2008 Teen Choice Awards - Page 2

For the Do Something award — where teens have different causes and one teen gets 100,000 dollars for his or her cause — Chad Bullock won. He was the Anti-Tobacco Activist who got smoking banned in one stadium. He said, “Youth can make a change. Positive work really pays off. 100,000 helps a lot.”

James Marsden’s movie, 27 Dresses won for Choice Movie: Chick Flick. He said on the red carpet, “Who inspires me? Zac Efron inspires me. The Jonas Brothers inspire me … no I got kids.”

Will Smith’s movies also did very well. Hancock won Choice Summer Movie: Action/Adventure. I Am Legend won Choice Movie: Horror/Thriller. And Will Smith won for Choice Movie Actor in a Horror/Thriller. James Marsden and Danica Patrick gave Will his surfboard. Will gave a great acceptance speech.

Ellen Page won for Choice Movie: Breakout Female and Juno won for Choice Movie: Comedy. Michael Cera — who was in Juno — was up for Choice Movie Actor: Comedy, but lost to Aston Kutcher. Kutcher’s What Happens in Vegas won for Bromantic Comedy. Narnia won Choice Movie: Action Adventure. Step-Up 2 won Choice Movie: Drama. Channing Tatum won for Choice Movie Actor: Drama. Channing doesn’t know what to do with the board, which he called beautiful and said maybe he’ll use it. Keira Knightley won Choice Movie Actress: Drama. Rachel Bilson took a board home for Choice Movie Actress: Action/Adventure. Ms. Alba won Choice Movie Actress: Horror/Thriller. And Choice Movie: Villain goes to Johnny Depp.

Gossip Girl was recognized. It won Choice TV Show: Drama and Breakout Show. Blake Lively won for Choice TV Actress: Drama and Breakout Star: Female. Ed Westwick won for TV villain. Chace Crawford won for Breakout Star: Male. When asked what he was going to do with the award, he said, “Surf on it.” He, then asked the press to teach him. Then, he said, “I’ll put it on my ceiling.”

Heroes won Choice TV Show: Action Adventure with Hayden Panettiere winning Choice TV Actress: Action Adventure. The Secret Life of the American Teenager won Choice Summer TV Show. Francia Raisa (pictured) said, “I’m very excited to get nominated. It’s been shown only five times. It’s ridiculous.”


Chris Brown did very well. He (with Jordin Sparks) won Choice Hook-up for “No-Air.” He also won Choice Music: Male Artist, R & B artist, R & B track (Forever) and Rap/Hip Hop Track, “Shawty Get Loose” Lil Mama featuring Chris Brown and T-Pain.

Onto the reality shows. The Davids from American Idol not only presented an award, but the show won Choice TV: Reality Music Competition. David Archuleta won Most Fanatic Fans. David Cook — who also won Male Reality star — is pictured below. LC won Female Reality Star. LC said, “The award is cool because it’s from kids.” For Reality Dance, American’s Best Dance Crew won. For Celebrity Reality show, The Hills won.
